The Story
Synopsis
Morgan Bennett came to Bellweather to settle her grandmother’s estate.
She expected an old house, a quiet town, and a lifetime of belongings waiting to be sorted. She did not expect thirteen fallen apples beneath a tree that should have been empty. She did not expect rooms that appeared where walls had been. And she certainly did not expect the people of Bellweather to start remembering things that had been forgotten for decades.
At the center of it all is Thomas Mercer, a man who disappeared in 1978.
As Morgan and DC Carter begin pulling at the threads of Bellweather’s past, the town answers with secrets of its own. Old photographs change. Doors open by themselves. The dead linger where they shouldn’t. And the deeper Morgan searches for the truth, the less certain she becomes that forgetting was ever an accident.
Because Bellweather remembers everything.
And some things were forgotten for a reason.
