THE GATHERING HOUSE · CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE
Bellweather · Character File
She sees what others miss, remembers what others forget, and still finds the courage to stay.
MEET CLARA
Clara Bennett is fifteen, observant, curious, and braver than she first appears. Bellweather has made belonging a question for too many people, but Clara refuses to let the house decide who deserves to stay.
Her identity is finally revealed in The Gathering House, Chapter Twenty-Three. Before that moment, the characters have encountered a mysterious figure without knowing her name.
“Some people don’t belong here. But I do.”
HER NAME IS REVEALED
In Chapter Twenty-Three, The Gathering House, the name Clara Bennett is revealed. Morgan begins to understand who the mysterious woman truly is and why the Bennett name matters to the house.
This is Clara’s introduction by name. Her earlier appearances are intentionally left unnamed, so the character page begins with the chapter in which readers can identify her.
WHAT TO KNOW
Clara is part of the Bennett family history. Her story is tied to the Gathering House, forgotten names, and the difference between what the rooms show and what is real.
The thirteen-fingered figure is associated with her earlier mystery, but Clara’s natural hands have ten fingers. Her continuity reference establishes no tattoos and no rings.
