MEET DC
Declan Carter grew up in Bellweather alongside Morgan Bennett, and like Morgan, he eventually left town. He built a career as a physical therapist specializing in professional athletes and established a life of his own away from Bellweather.
DC returned when his parents had to relocate for his mother’s job. By the time Morgan comes home after eleven years away, he has only recently taken on the Lantern Room, balancing the career he built for himself with a bar carrying more Bellweather history than he bargained for.

HIS STORY BEGINS
When Morgan walks back into the Lantern Room after eleven years away, DC is one of the first pieces of Bellweather that still feels familiar. Unfortunately, he also knows just enough about the town's stranger history to prove that Morgan is not imagining things.
He can tell when something is wrong. Explaining why it is wrong is another matter entirely.
WHAT TO KNOW
DC is observant, protective, steady, and very good at keeping his head when the room gets strange. His work demands patience and precision; Bellweather mostly demands that he accept increasingly ridiculous things with a straight face.
He is not the town's supernatural expert. He is simply one of the people standing close enough to realize that something is deeply wrong.
SIGNATURE LOOK
DC's style stays grounded and unfussy: olive, tan, brown leather, dark neutrals, fitted layers, and clean silhouettes. His short locs, trimmed beard, left-nostril stud, matching ear studs, watch, and silver bracelet remain consistent even when the occasion pulls him into something more dressed up.

FROM THE FILE
DC and Morgan went to school together from kindergarten through graduation.
His own career is sports physical therapy. The Lantern Room is a separate responsibility he only recently took on after returning to Bellweather.

DC enters Where the Forgotten Wait in Chapter Three, when Morgan returns to the Lantern Room and Bellweather gives both of them something new to explain.
