MEET MORGAN

The girl who came home.

Morgan Bennett left Bellweather at nineteen and became very good at staying gone. Eleven years later, her grandmother's house brings her back to a town that looks smaller, feels familiar, and remembers things Morgan doesn't.

Practical, stubborn, observant, and armed with a sense of humor sharp enough to survive Bellweather's habit of answering questions with more questions, Morgan has no intention of becoming part of a mystery. Unfortunately, the mystery seems to remember her.

HER STORY BEGINS

Eleven years gone. One house waiting.

Morgan returns to Bellweather to sort through the house her grandmother left behind. She expects dust, old photographs, too many mugs, and a town full of people who remember her childhood better than she would like.

Instead, she finds impossible objects, missing memories, old names no one wants to explain, and evidence that Bellweather has been waiting for her return.

WHAT TO KNOW

Spoiler-light. Suspicion-heavy.

Morgan doesn't arrive in Bellweather believing in ghosts, curses, or town legends. She believes in evidence, inconvenient questions, coffee before decisions, and refusing to let people get away with dramatic silence instead of a useful answer.

The trouble is that Bellweather keeps producing evidence.

SIGNATURE LOOK

Purple curls. Silver details. Boots built for bad decisions.

Morgan's wardrobe shifts with the chapter, but she always looks like herself: alternative, practical, comfortable, and a little sharper than Bellweather expects. Her purple curls, layered silver jewelry, black nails, piercings, boots, and rich jewel tones stay part of her visual language throughout the story.

Hair

Purple natural curls with braided side detail and strong chapter-to-chapter continuity.

Details

Silver jewelry, established nose and ear piercings, rings, and black nails.

Style

Alternative, layered, comfortable, practical, and grounded in rich autumn and jewel tones.
